When I work backstage, I'm always raising my game. This is a complete inventory of the kit I bring backstage with me.

This is a PDF version of my latest Inventory of my Tech Kit and everything else I bring to a show with me:

The box itself is from the hardware store, and would usually contain tools. It has a top compartment with small sections, and a bottom one with larger ones.
Just a few of the tricks up my sleeve:
- Deodorant-- the antiperspirant ingredient can help keep people from sweating off mic tape.
- Latex-free bandages-- for first aid, or for use as mic tape on people who are sensitive to the tape.
- Wrapped Liner Pencils-- everyone going on stage should have eyeliner at least. I make these my gift to people who are new to stage makeup and end up not bringing any (which is a bad idea by the way), and have them pay me back a dollar if they can.
- Spot band-aids-- for covering up earrings.
- Clear nail polish-- for stopping nylon runs.
- Pieces of wax paper-- for mixing up a makeup color in advance without keeping it on your hand the entire time.
- Mineral Oil-- for diluting oil-based makeup, un-powdering makeup and re-blending it, and for removing adhesive residue from microphone tape.
- Black shoe polish-- to put a new shine on character shoes and cover up all the scratches.
- WD-40 Oil-- In addition to de-sticking a lock or a mechanism, this solvent can also be used to remove sticky residue. Beware of fumes. Use in a well-ventilated area.
