The Jadenism!!! It's the Jadenism again, finally!! "When the last lifepoint expires, THAT'S when the duel is over, Yubel!"
Spell Chronicle reminded me a bit of Wicked Canon, now that I think of it.
"You haven't destroyed me, Jaden-- you've only made me stronger!!" Jaden is just as oblivious to the pattern in Yubel's strategy as he is to how much Yubel meant what she was trying to tell him. Yubel's cards thrive on pain, just as she did. Destroying them straight-out is a bad idea.
So Jaden DOES have an ancient past... The final piece of the puzzle finally falls into place. Is this all we get to learn about it? Doubtful.
What was that about this big huge Chaos-attack thingy?
Jaden said, "Is that...?" to what did he refer?
"At first chaos and evil ruled the world under the power of light." As in, the Dark Light? The Society of Light? Okey-dokey.
"The dark energy restored order and banished this evil." Okaaay...
But the light waves are coming back, because there's more than one and they're still coming...
So Year 4 could see another Society of Losers-- I mean Loonies-- I mean Light? Oh, great. Unless Jaden stops them. But that's a small evil, that keeps coming. That wouldn't scare us-- he took it out once. What's Yubel expecting to have come our way next?
What ancient civilization is Yubel from? Kinda reminded me of the culture of Kyle and Sir Freed and those guys.
Helping Yubel? 'Bout time! And that's when Jaden chose Superpolymerization: when he wasn't afraid of helping Yubel.
Don't anyone freak out at me for saying it, but this actually reminds me a lot of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series finale. Even though Aang's enemy was an evil scumbag, he still was human, and Aang felt it was wrong to take any life, even his. So, Aang found another, very dangerous, way to eliminate the threat without killing, which was also a sort of spirit-fusion. If anything had gone wrong, Aang's own spirit would have been corrupted and destroyed. Jaden seems to have done the same sort of thing, only permanently, and we have yet to see whether it worked, or whether he's still Jaden after it did.
Where's Jaden? Is Yubel carrying him back herself, or IS she going to stash him somewhere safe until he's needed, away from his friends? Is he okay, after that whole spirit-fusing action?
Where's ZANE? Didn't Bastion say we'd get him back, too? Did we just not see him?
I didn't see Echo or Adrian, either. If they aren't back, what on Earth happened there?
Jesse doesn't look so good... since Rainbow Dragon, at least, if not the rest of the Crystal Beasts, were in Jaden's deck, where are THEY? Could that be why?
Man, they just can't seem to come back from these dimensions with everyone, can they? Wonder who's going back for JADEN? Sign Syrus up!
And it's rerun-land... The other episode this morning is "The Next King of Games". and next week are "Welcome to Duel Academy" and "A Duel in Love".
NO WAY!!!! OMG! We've got ourselves another spinoff!!!!!! Premiering this September 13th is Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D. This takes place, apparently, far in the future of GX, when people duel while racing on super-fast motorbikes ofsome kind. I've said it before and I'll say again that the Powers that Write like their motorcycles; I can name four major characters off the top of my head that motorcycles are important to (Rafael, Alister, Valon, and especially Marik), and five more after that who canonly ride them, including Kaiba (Settling the Score I) and Joey (Fighting for a Friend I) themselves. And that's quick-and-dirty, ten-seconds-of-thinking. So, my first question (to nobody's surprise, I'm sure) is: HOW far in the future? Will we see anyone from the original or GX? Will they be legends, living or long-past? And, will the Heart endure on wheels (and by the way, I'm being extremely facetious on this one)? I remember with fondness that it wasn't that long ago I asked the same questions about GX. No matter what's coming next, I can't wait!
I realized with shock that I hadn't yet sent out my post. This may be a bit half-baked, because I kept feeling like there must be more to say-- Yubel's a good guy now, for heaven's sake! But I'm going to send it out without delaying a second longer. I'm sorry for the delay, and it won't happen again. 'Til the new ones... -Clio
