I don’t *remember* Linda watching the Heart of Ice duel…

So Sy’s back from the hospital just now? Yikes, it was a bit worse than it’d seemed. Then again, he was sitting up, in his normal blazer, and talking cheerfully to Jaden before the It’s All Relative duel, so it wasn’t what *I* thought it was. He was better off than Jaden was after the Doomsday Duel duel. What *did* the cuffs do, that Syrus fainted directly after the duel and stayed in a hospital bed for days, but for most of that recovery he seemed just fine? Was it the hospital people being overcautious? How could it be, when they weren’t even there to see it happen? It could be really handy to know what exactly those things’ effect is, aside from the mental and emotional damage and the immediate pain.

So, the redhead finally has a name, and she and her Prince finally have a background. I think that her name was kept secret from us until now because we were meant to see her as being around but not quite part of the story until now, just like Ojin himself did. She was always there; we all just kinda noticed her.

Pharaoh was watching again…

“And the Sartorius *I* knew was gone!” I’d forgotten that; Sarina said that the Sartorius she had known disappeared completely. This could argue that the original D wanted to steal Plasma, and then the two separate D’s were entirely different from the first, so the good one, in theory, could have cared about Aster.

“-We’re *so* gonna get busted.”
“ -But we break in all the time.”
Just how often *do* they break into the Obelisk arena? By the way, Lex’s showing up like that reminded me of Welcome to Duel Academy.

Why not tell Alexis about it all, Sy? You don’t have to tell her about anything that happened to or because of her when she was under the Light’s power, that would not be fun to tell, but tell her about the keys and the evil plot and stuff.

I’ll bet that Prince Ojin wasn’t the only one who saw Sartorius as one of few who cared about him; what about Aster?

Being cheerleaders is a sensitive spot? Please! They’re unwittingly carrying on a duel tradition that the King of Games himself swears by: friends who cheer each other on! What’s wrong with being cheerleaders?

The Fool and… what’s that other tarot card? It probably represents Prince Ojin, and we know it’s not the Prince card; that’s Aster.

That’s an awfully handy TV screen or three…

“They’re your cards, not your friends.” This poor sap *was* lonely, even by the standards of other lonely kids who dueled, like Mai, and Leon, both of who turned to their cards for comfort, ignored by most around them.

“Intro to Machine Monsters”- another Duel Academy class.

The Light of Destruction seems to be the full, common terminology.

So Jaden’s key is safe, and Aster’s isn’t? Why would that be so? Why did Jaden dash out so quickly? Is Aster back from the boat yet and do they know if he is? If not, did it occur to Jaden that Aster just went missing and his key may be in danger?

I noticed that the show spent separate time preparing Jaden to take on Sartorius (Heart of Ice I and II), then Aster (The Dark Light and Ultimate Destiny). The two plots have been individually developed to a breaking point, and now it’s time to slam it all together!

Hang on—next episode is The Phoenix Has Landed I (of 2). You don’t suppose Aster gets to Sartorius and challenges him before Jaden gets to Aster?! Then again, Aster’s on the warpath, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if, while this was going on, Aster was making tracks for the White Dorm.

So I think that’s about it (these have been ridiculously short), and I’d like to note that all of these exciting episodes, plotlines coming to a point, means that we’re nearing something major. May I also note, in hopes of slightly minimizing the shock and wailing should the same apply to this year, that they only showed fifty-two episodes last school year (that seems to be how they’re going; last year it was September to April), and this year we’re on number forty-seven already. On a happier note, tomorrow is the one-hundredth episode of GX—what better occasion for a party by email (it would be a rather slow-motion party)? Or we could just hold off and celebrate it along with Duel Monsters Spirit Day, which is also coming up (March 2nd, if we go by the literal dates which is really as accurate as it can ever be). Happy slightly late Valentine’s Day also, everybody! By the way, tomorrow is The Phoenix Has Landed I, Tuesday is part II of the same, and upcoming Duelist Kingdom are Shining Friendship and Champion vs. Creator I. -Clio
