Ha ha, literal show namers. *Courting*-- like a tennis court. Get it? And courting also means wooing.

Harrison Rosewood—another cuckoo to add to the ever-growing list of Obelisks with no common sense who lost humiliatingly to Jaden. How on Earth did those crazy rumors about his skill get started, anyway?

To understand a lot of the puns in this one, you need to understand tennis terminology: Tennis is a very traditional game, and one of these traditions is its bizarre scoring system. “Love” is a term used in place of “Zero.” Then when someone scores one hit, he gets 15, two and it’s 30, three and it’s 40, and anything beyond that more than two points ahead of your opponent is a win. Now, if it’s a tie, it’s called “Deuce,” like Harrison’s continuous card there. When you get beyond 40 and it remains close, less than two points apart, then it’s only counted in “Advantage.” Like if person A and person B were playing tennis, and they were deuced at over 40 points each, and person A scored a hit, then the score would be advantage to person A, and if person A gets another hit, they win, and if person B scores then, it’s deuce again. Also, another weird tennis tradition is its playing format: one round of the scoring system I just described is a match. There are two matches to a set, and two sets to a game. And here I thought that I’d never need to use what I learned in Freshman PE…

So we know that Alexis’ other friend is named Mindy. Good to know. It was really bugging me that I kept referring to her as “Alexis’ other pal, the one that had the crush on Syrus.”

I liked it when Crowler was saying ‘It’s *Doctor* Crowler!’ Someone was probably calling him ‘Mrs.’ again.

Fonda Fontaine is creepy. I just had to say that.

I’m not sure if Alexis really ran into Professor Banner, or if she was just trying to get Jaden away or give him time to catch his breath or maybe she did, and she was using this good conversation topic to get Jaden a chance to catch his breath. Anyway, if someone *did* see Chazz, I wonder where, and how?

Harrison was right to jump on one thing: Jaden called Alexis “Lex.” They’re becoming pals. They’re getting to know each other. Alexis said that ‘fiancée’ means friend—for now.

Every guy in the school, it seems quite apparent, would want Alexis as a girlfriend (Crowler’s phony love letter, anyone?), but Alexis is not interested in having a boyfriend. Not even Jaden, whom she has a crush on, as we’ve seen. Why is she so uninterested? She says she just doesn’t want to have a boyfriend right now, so what’s happening ‘right now?’ I do think she’s right to stay away from creeps like Harrison, though. Fiancée, *honestly!*

Mindy asks Alexis how it feels to have two cutie-pie guys dueling over her hand in marriage; that means Jaden, too! Jasmine and Mindy seem to like Jaden, though Syrus they find a bit annoying.

Okay, I think that’s about it for now. Tomorrow: The Duel Giant! That’s all, folks! -Clio
