Jaden’s joke about wishing it were Slifer Orange instead of Red so he won’t have to listen to rhymes had to do with the fact that nothing rhymes with orange. I don’t think they got the joke either, Kuriboh.
Is Sheppard onto Crowler? Enjoying the students’ punishment a bit too much, aren’t we?
Chazz seems *really* angry at Jaden there. Not just competitive, but actually loathing. Apparently there is something very important to him that Jaden encroached upon by saying that he would be the next King of Games. What could it be?
I think that Syrus and Zane are doin’ better now. Zane is still distant and silent, but I think he was proud of Syrus and knows Syrus has a ways to go. I think I was right that Zane has been trying to teach Syrus something, and I at least partially got what the thing was about using as opposed to playing a card. I just have to do some quoting here, because it was too cool for mere paraphrasing:
“Zane: That [the difference between using and playing a card] is something that can never be taught. Only learned. It takes a moment of pure clarity, when you see dueling on a different level. A higher level. All the angles, all the moves. You won’t think; you’ll just act.”
“ (As Jaden wails on about the paper he has to write, Syrus looks up at Zane, watching silent in the stands. They meet each other’s eyes.) Syrus: I wanna think I impressed you, Zane. That I dueled at that higher level. That I showed you I can play a card, and not just use it. But I know I still have a lot to learn, and a lot to live up to. (Zane’s eyes soften, and he walks away…)”
One thing, though: is that first quote what Zane himself meant, or was it the answer Syrus showed himself through an imaginary conversation with Zane? I think it was probably the latter, in which case Syrus figured it out or found a new meaning of his own!
Alexis sure seems to say or think, “I hope you know what you’re doing, Jaden,” a LOT. Then again, when it comes to Jaden, that’s all there really is for her to say.
Think Bastion’s catching on to Jaden-Alexis after Alexis’ little slipup there? What on Earth would Bastion make of it? It was quite cute, though, what Alexis said. This romance is very much developing and shown to us, far more than anything we’ve seen in the original. I will refrain from giving examples because all examples are debatable. I think it’s safe to say though that Jaden-Alexis is not.
I bet Jaden’s would be a very interesting paper to read. I think that it would take him more than ten pages, though, to tell about his adventures in the Abandoned Dorm and with the tag team match, but I doubt anyone would believe him if he told them, especially about the Shadow Game (the real one, not the fake one). Then again, he’d just be saying that it was nifty special effects, right? He doesn’t have to worry about incriminating Alexis or Chumley because remember they already confessed to Sheppard and tried to take Syrus’ place in the tag match, but then again Jaden doesn’t know that. I have a feeling that Jaden would just crank out an assignment, but this would make a very interesting story to turn in for school. Most amusing that this should come up just now considering the evil English assignment I just finished myself.
The first interaction we see between Banner and Crowler and the former puts the verbal smackdown on the latter and then Pharaoh the Cat freaks Crowler out. Could it be that there’s a bit of not-exactly-friendliness between Banner and Crowler? It’s far from outright animosity, but Banner is not the type to be anything but kind for no reason.
Crowler is not an animal-lover. At all. This much is clear.
Wow, Chumley *really* likes Grilled Cheese. And he’s not missing much even though Jaden and Syrus are staying; fried cheese is tasty, too. I’m a cheese fanatic as well.
There’s almost definitely more to be said, but it doesn’t come to mind. Maybe someone else can remember it? Anyway, tomorrow’s episode will be Formula for Success! What could it be? What could it be? Who knows? Ourselves, less than 24 hours from now! Until then, I’m done! -Clio |
