Weird Poetic Forms

Over the years, there have been many obscure poetic forms such as Pantoums, Sestinas, Dorsimbras, Lentos, and so forth, that have fallen out of use. Some of these I had to write for eleventh grade English class, some I just decided to try on for size. In either case, I'd like to extend special praise and thanks to John Hollander's poet's guide Rhyme's Reason, whose catchy verses helped me master these tricky forms. I highly, highly recommend it. These also include poetic forms that I found elsewhere and mimicked, such as A Chant for Ra, which is based on the chants that have been used to summon the Winged Dragon of Ra, adhering to all their similarities. Enjoy!
