(Opening)
ACT 1 <3:08>
(Outside the WRGP opening gala, it's a peaceful night in New Domino City. From the garage below the gala building appear two headlights. Visor rides out onto the street, Yusei following. Visor's dark blue runner is mostly composed of an incredibly long, thin nose, with one big wheel behind where he sits.)
Yusei (think): Time to find out if Visor can really show me a way to defeat that Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity.
(Flashback to Yusei's duel with the Ghost.)
FB Ghost: Machine Emperor Infinity! I activate your special ability!
(White beams shoot out of Wisel's chest and wrap around Stardust Dragon, trapping it like a fly in a web. Stardust screams and struggles against it. Yusei looks up, horrified.)
FB Yusei: Stardust Dragon!
FB Ghost: It's too late, Yusei; there's nothing you can do! Your Dragon's about to become just another gear in my machine!
(And Stardust vanishes into Wisel's chest-- gone. End Flashback.)
Yusei (think): Guess I'll find out.
(Visor coasts around a corner, past a big holographic billboard outside the gala that reads '2021'. Yusei follows.)
(Up above them, on the patio outside the gala, Akiza and the twins, still in their gala finery, are watching anxiously. Jack and Crow join them, each riding his runner.)
Akiza: Are you *sure* about this?! Letting Yusei take off with some guy we have no idea about?
(Crow dismounts and takes off his helmet.)
Crow: No, I'm not.
Akiza: Then why did you let him go?!
(Crow walks up to the railing, looking down at the road below as the two runners glide past. Jack walks over and joins them.)
Crow: 'Cause Yusei's gonna do what he *wants* to do, whether we like it or not. <4:00> 'Specially lately. Who *knows* why he's acting so weird these days.
(Akiza listens, stunned.)
Akiza (murmurs): I think that *I* may know why...
(Flashback to Yusei's match with Sherry.)
FB Sherry: I will be riding full-throttle on ze cutting edge with everything to lose and *everything* to gain-- (she looks over her shoulder, her gaze challenging.) *Is zat not ze kind of duel you want in on, Yusei Fudo*?! (Yusei is listening silently) If you race with me, you will find ze drive you seek!
(End Flashback.)
(Akiza stands there, staring into space, looking worried.)
Leo: Hel-lo? Earth to Akiza! You okay? You look pretty deep in thought.
Akiza: Uh... I'm fine.
(They turn to watch Yusei and Visor round another corner.)
Leo (VO): Hey, look. They're squaring up!
(Yusei is now riding just about even with Visor.)
Leo: *Yes*! They're gonna battle!
Jack: I'm not so *sure* about that. From the looks of it I'd say Visor has *something else* planned...
(Visor and Yusei zoom away from the lights of the gala.)
Visor: Think you can keep up, Yusei?
(Visor presses down with his right foot, turns his left hand grip, and races ahead.)
Yusei: Huh? This guy wants to *race*...?
Crow: A *race*?! What's *that* gonna accomplish?!
Yusei (think): You wanna rev it up? Fine with me! <5:00>
(Yusei drifts over to the other lane, ready to pass Visor, and starts to speed up. Visor glances over his shoulder, smiles slightly, pleased, and pulls ahead further.)
Yusei (think): Whoa! He's packin *hardcore horsepower*! But so am I!!
(Yusei's engine lights up the air behind him briefly as he rockets after his adversary. Visor expertly rounds a sharp turn, and Yusei pursues. They zing down a straightaway, around another curve, and onto another straight road. Yusei's keeping pace at Visor's left wing.)
Jack: Come on-- pick up the pace, Yusei! Show this slowpoke what you can do!
(Visor and Yusei weave along the straight road.)
Yusei (think): Right now, it's *all* I can do to *keep up*! But if Visor really does have the answers I'm looking for, I'll have to do better than that!
(Yusei accelerates and closes the gap.)
Akiza (gasp, think): Yusei's pulling out all the stops and they're *still* neck-and-neck. Hope he knows what he's doing!
(The two runners seem to dance around each other as Yusei pulls ahead of Visor, Visor comes around and passes Yusei, Yusei edges ahead of Visor, then Visor regains the lead. Visor grins out of the corner of his mouth and dashes ahead, his passage turning the air around him sharp shades of Speed World fuchsia. His wheels are igniting sparks from the track as he rounds another curve.)
Crow: Whoa! Now *that's* what I call takin' it to the next gear!
(Behind him, Jack looks stunned beyond words.) <6:00>
Yusei: That's it, I'm *finishing* this!
(Yusei presses down with his left foot, twists his right grip, pops a wheelie, and speeds up-- his back wheel sparks white on the road then he rushes forward, the purple rushing air making it appear as though he has entered a new dimension. He rounds the curve, leaning into it, his head barely two feet off the ground, adding--)
Yusei: That is, if it doesn't finish *me* first!!
(Charging into the fuchsia-tinted unknown, Yusei struggles to hang on...)
ACT 2 <6:12>
(Visor rounds another corner, the air rushing past him turning the world purple.)
Visor (via radio): Can ya keep up, Yusei?
Yusei (via radio): *Watch me*!
(Yusei hurtles around the corner next, leaning so far into the curve that his runner is nearly horizontal, fiercely determined to hang on. As he comes out of the turn, he gets so close to the edge of the road that the railing reflects in his helmet visor. Startled, he slows down, snapping out of the fuchsia world of speed energy Visor has been leading him through. Yusei's runner wobbles unsteadily from side to side.)
(The twins gasp.)
Akiza: Just hold on!
(Yusei regains his balance and zooms away from the wall.)
(Akiza breathes a sigh of relief.)
(Visor has slowed down to stay a short distance ahead of Yusei.)
Visor: Come on now, Yusei! You'll never be able to beat the Ghost if you can't even survive *this* snail-paced speed!
Yusei: Huh?!
(And Visor accelerates back into the purple dimension once again, gracefully flying through a river of fuchsia-white streaks of light.)
Yusei: You asked for it!
(Yusei speeds up again, plunging back into the realm of purple lights.)
Leo: Faster!
(Yusei rounds the next corner and skids into the next turn sideways, fighting to stay on course. <7:00> His right hand shakes on its handle, threatening to lose its grip. He grips harder, straightens up, and sails out of the turn, slowing back into the dark night air.)
Leo: All right!!
(Visor looks over his shoulder, having already seen Yusei's maneuver in the rearview camera showing on his screen.)
Visor: Well done, Yusei; that was step *one* in learning how to beat the Ghost. Now it's time for step two!
Yusei: Huh?
Visor: I activate Speed World Two!
Computer: Duel mode engaged. Autopilot activated.
(Waves of light spread out from the two runners, lighting up the night. Duel Lane markers pop up along the side of the highway.)
Computer (via loudspeaker): A turbo-duel is about to commence. All non-dueling vehicles must vacate the combat lane immediately.
(A couple of vans shift lanes away, right before Yusei and Visor race past, each runner's headlight shining like a beacon. A runner screen maps out turbo-duel courses in zigzagging multicolored lines.)
Computer: Formulating cross-town duel course, and awaiting Central Grid Authority's official authorization. Authorization has been granted.
(Street lights above the turbo-dueling track all light up as Yusei and Visor merge onto it from the street.)
Yusei (via radio): Okay, now let's rev it up duel-style!
Jack: *Well.* It's on *now*.
Crow: Big-time!
(Akiza is watching anxiously, still worried. They see Yusei and Visor zoom past on a track around the gala pavilion.)
Visor: Don't hold back, Yusei! I wanna see *everything you've got* in this duel!
Yusei: You can *count* on it! First, from my hand I summon Tricular in defense mode! <8:00>
[Tricular /300/L3/]
Yusei: Then I'll place a facedown and end my turn!
Visor: You call *that* giving it your all, Yusei? Here-- *watch a pro*!
(Draw. Scoreboard: Yusei, 4000, 1; Visor, 4000, 1. Visor's card is T.G. Striker.)
Visor: Now first, since you're the only one with a monster on the field right now, I can summon *this* creature straight from my hand! Behold, Yusei-- the tuner monster, Tech Genus Striker!
[T.G. Striker /800/L2/]
(Visor's lead-off monster is a high-tech ninja of a warrior.)
Yusei (mutters): Did he say 'Tech Genus Striker'? I've *never heard* of that monster before...!
(Yusei's friends are crowded around Crow's runner screen, which shows footage of the duel.)
Jack: Visor already has a tuner out; he must be planning a synchro-summon!
(The screen in the Directors-General lounge switches from showing the gala pavilion to showing the same video feed Crow's runner screen is showing. The shortest of the three, Lester, perks up with interest in the screen as Primo, the one with the sword, enters the room, back from his earlier errand.)
Lester: Mm! It's a *duel*!
(Primo turns and looks at the screen, which is currently showing Yusei's face.)
Primo: That duelist...! He's the one from *before*.
(Flashback. Yusei, riding in a cloud of Majestic Star Dragon's iridescent glitter, reaches upward, shouting--)
FB Yusei: Majestic Star Dragon! Attack!!!
(Majestic Star comes arrowing out of the sky like the most graceful shooting star ever to fan its wings, shining electric blue, and cleanly takes off Machine Emperor Wisel's head before sailing out into the open sky. End Flashback.) <9:00>
Primo: ...Yusei Fudo...!
(Visor stays confidently ahead. Yusei looks a bit nervous.)
Yusei: Hunh...
Visor: And now, Yusei, since I just special-summoned a level-four-or-below monster to my field, I'm allowed to special-summon this big bad beast directly from my hand. Come to the field-- Tech Genus Werewolf!
(Visor's next monster is a vicious cyborg wolf on two legs.)
[Cyber Genus Werewolf 1200//L3]
Visor: And now, I'll tune the level-two Tech Genus Striker, with the level-three Tech Genus Werewolf, to synchro-summon a warrior from the ways of old--
(Tuning math: L3 + L2 = L5)
Visor: Appear! Tech Genus Gladiator!
[T.G. Power Gladiator 2300//L5/]
Leo: He doesn't look so tough...
Yusei (think): I don't *get* it. Sure it's a synchro, but he doesn't have any abilities that make 'im too big of a *threat*.
Visor: Next, I'm going to summon the tuner monster, Tech Genus Cyber Magician!
[T.G. Cyber Magician /0/L1/]
Yusei: Huh?
Crow: Wait-- he's not planning to synchro *again*, is he?! That's *impossible*!
(In the lounge in which the Directors-General are watching the duel, Primo is still standing, watching the screen intently. No one says anything.) <10:00>
Visor: Now then, with Tech Genus Cyber Magician out on the field, and the required monsters for a synchro-summoning all currently in my hand...
Leo: Hold on! Did he say 'currently in his *hand*'?!
Visor: Go, Tech Genus Cyber Magician!! Tune with Tech Genus Rush Rhino!
(Tuning math: L4 + L1 = L5)
Visor: And now, by their bond, I synchro-summon Tech Genus Wonder Magician!!
[T.G. Wonder Magician 1900/0/L5/light]
Computer: Tech Genus Wonder Magician is a level-five synchro-tuner monster with nineteen-hundred attack points and zero defense points.
Yusei: Now he's got *two* synchro monsters...?
Luna: What's Yusei gonna do *now*?
Leo: Don't worry, sis-- Yusei can handle this *no problem*!
Visor: And now, Gladiator-- show that Tricular the might of your axe! Attack!!
Yusei: Huunhhh!!
(Yusei's lifepoints sink to 2000. His runner sways from one side of the track to the other.)
Visor: And now, you take the difference between their points as damage!
Leo: I was wrong!
(Yusei steadies himself and keeps riding.)
(Leo sighs with relief; maybe Yusei's still in this.)
(Visor looks back over his shoulder at Yusei, his tone slightly taunting.) <11:00>
Visor: You okay, Yusei? Or have ya had enough!
Yusei: I'm just getting started, and so is Tricular! Because when he's destroyed in battle, he allows me to summon Bicular!
[Bicular /200/L2/]
Visor: Well then I guess it's a good thing I have another synchro ready on deck! Go, Wonder Magician! Destroy Bicular!
(Wonder Magician blasts Bicular and destroys it.)
Yusei: Sorry, but it's gonna take *three* monsters to keep my field clear, because when Bicular's destroyed, Unicycular is ready to roll!
[Unicycular 100/100/L1/earth]
Visor: Guess I'm *done*.
Leo: Yes! Yusei's holdin' his own!
Akiza (think): Or *thinks* he is! He's been wrong *before*!
(Flashback to Yusei's duel with Sherry.)
FB Yusei: Then I'll activate its special ability, and force your Chevalier into defense mode!
FB Sherry: Zat does *nothing* for you! That *little synchron* has no hope of crashing through Fleur de Chevalier's defense-- and *with defeat comes damage*!
(Yusei's lifepoints decrease to a slim 100. Akiza looks down at him from her perch on the back of his runner, worried. She sees the lifepoint count on his screen.)
FB Akiza (think): Only a hundred lifepoints left! (aloud) Yusei, d'you *realize* what you just *did*?!
(She gasps. Yusei is still smiling. She can hardly believe her eyes, feeling forlorn, on the outside looking in on something she can't understand.)
FB Akiza (think): *Yusei*...?
(End Flashback.) <12:00>
(Yusei and Visor soar around another couple dizzying curves.)
Akiza (think): I hope Yusei's not in over his head here!
Yusei (think): Consecutive attacks by two synchro monsters! Is *this* the strategy I've been looking for? The technique to defeat Machine Emperor Wisel?
(Flashback to Yusei's duel with the Ghost.)
FB Ghost: Thanks to your synchro monster, my Machine Emperor now gains twenty-five-hundred extra points to do damage to *you* with! Hahahahahaha!
(Wisel's fist shimmers with a ghost of Stardust Dragon's head, complete with glowing eyes. Its attack points rise to 2500. End Flashback.)
Yusei (think): It *could* work. After all, Machine Emperor Wisel can only absorb one synchro per turn. If there were *two*...
(He's watching Wonder Magician and Gladiator, and envisions Gladiator then taken away. Wonder Magician is still there, ready to go.)
Yusei (think): Then if one was taken down another would be able to fight! But is that all there is *to* it? Or was Visor hinting at something... *more*?
(Flashback to when Visor first addressed them in the gala's garage.)
FB Visor: Yusei... you're not ready to *face* the Ghost again. You must first find the Synchro Solution.
(End Flashback.)
Visor: Well? Your move, Yusei. Have you thought it through?
Yusei: Huh! You better believe it!!
(Yusei draws. Scoreboard: Yusei, 2000, 2; Visor, 4000, 2.) <13:00>
Yusei (think): Come on... *Yes*!! Perfect!
(He flips over his drawn card. It's "Speed Spell - Synchro Defuse".)
Yusei: I activate the speed spell Synchro Defuse! Now, since I have two or more speed counters, I gain control of one synchro monster on your side of the field until the end phase of this turn!
Jack: So he just stole Visor's synchro?
Crow: Yep-- just like the Ghost stole his! Don't ya see, if Yusei duels against Visor like the Ghost dueled against *him*, then however Visor counters will be the Synchro Solution!
(In the Directors' lounge, Primo has finally resumed his seat on the couch, his sword leaning on the seat next to him. The three of them are watching tensely.)
Yusei: Tech Genus Gladiator is now *all mine*, Visor!!
(Gladiator begins to shimmer, as though to vanish and go to Yusei's side.)
Leo: All *right*!
(Visor looks up at Gladiator, then speeds up.)
Yusei: Huh!!
Jack: Yeah, here we go!
Visor: Well done, Yusei! Now prepare to step outta the shadows and into the *light*! Go, Accel Synchro!!
Yusei: Accel Synchro?!
(Visor is still accelerating, and the air around him is starting to tint purple, then electric blue...)
ACT 3 <14:00>
Visor; Behold, Yusei! You wanted to know the Synchro Solution, so I give you, the Accel Synchro!
Yusei: What's happening, Visor?!
(Visor accelerates ahead, the air around him turning purplish, then electric blue.)
Visor: Watch and *see*!
(As he continues to speed up, the blue air starts to turn white with the energy of his passing it, obscuring him from view. A green ring blossoms around the track, as though the riders themselves are flying through the rings of a synchro-summoning. The air around Visor is now a vibrant tuner's green, and more rings are appearing. Yusei watches in stunned amazement. There's a bright, blinding flash.)
(Crow's runner screen has become a headlight; everyone winces away from it.)
(The Directors' holographic screen is shining just as brightly. None of the three shields their eyes, or even moves.)
(Yusei and his Unicycular are now on the track alone. Ahead of them, all is dark.)
Yusei: Where'd he *go*?
(Yusei rides onward. Suddenly the air behind him seems to pulse, dispersing blurry waves of intangible power. Yusei is forced toward the side of the track, as the air space directly beside him shines brighter and brighter, and Visor comes roaring out of it. Above him hovers a new monster, armored in bright lime green and orange.)
[T.G. Blade Blaster 3300//L10/]
Yusei: Where'd *that* monster come from?! And what in the world *is* it?
Visor: It's an accel synchro monster, Tech Genus Blade Blaster.
Yusei: Wait-- an *accel* synchro monster? What's that? And how were you able to summon it right in the middle of my turn?! <15:00>
Visor: An accel synchro summon uses a synchro-tuner monster *and* a synchro monster! *And* it's done with lightning-fast speed!
Yusei (shocked): Huh!!
(Flashback to Visor's earlier acceleration that turned the air blue, then white.)
Yusei (VO, think): Of *course*, that's what he meant by finding the Synchro Solution! It was there all along, I just had to push hard enough and go fast enough to uncover it!!
(Visor accelerates even further, and the air around him turns green and blossoms with tuning rings. End Flashback.)
Yusei (think): No *wonder* he challenged me to race earlier! He wanted to see if I had the speed it took!
Visor: Don't be *too* awestruck, Yusei. We still got a duel to finish!
(Visor speeds ahead.)
Yusei: And I got a few cards that *may* just help finish it! Here goes!
(We glimpse Yusei's hand. He still has Speed Spell - Synchro Diffusion, in addition to Quillbolt Hedgehog, the trap card Shining Silver Force, and he reaches for "Speed Spell - Angel Baton".)
Yusei: First I activate the speed spell Angel Baton! With this, since I have two more more speed counters, I get to draw two cards from my deck, but then must send one card in my hand to the grave.
(He discards Quillbolt Hedgehog.)
Yusei: Next I summon the tuner monster Drill Synchron!
[Drill Synchron 800//L3/]
Yusei: And now since there's a tuner monster on the field, I can summon Quillbolt Hedgehog from my graveyard.
[Quillbolt Hedgehog 800//L2/]
Yusei: Next I'll tune level-three Drill Synchron, with level one Unicycular and level-two Quillbolt Hedgehog to create-- <16:00> a gargantuan that can grind through even the greatest garrisons of defense!
(Tuning math: L1 + L2 + L3 = L6)
Yusei: I synchro-summon-- Drill Warrior!!
[Drill Warrior 2400//L6/]
Yusei: And by cutting Drill Warrior's attack points in half, he's allowed to turn his brutalizing drill bits on *you*! Go, Drill Warrior! Underground Grinder!
(Drill Warrior's attack points decrease to 1200 and he goes in for a direct attack, firing one of his arm-drills into the track; it then drills its way back upward and shoots toward and through Visor-- it's a direct hit. Visor clenches his teeth as his lifepoints decrease to 2800.)
Yusei: And then I'll end my turn with a facedown!
Visor: At *last* you're putting up a fight. I'd been waiting for this-- I was starting to get *bored* going so easy on you! But now it seems I can finally start dueling you with some *force*!
(Yusei quietly waits to see what Visor has in store for him next.)
Visor: It's *my* turn now! Huah! (draw)
(Scoreboard: Yusei, 2000, 3; Visor, 2800, 3.)
Visor: First things first! Tech Genus Blade Blaster, *destroy* that Drill Warrior! <17:00>
Yusei: I activate my trap card "Wave Force"! Now, since a synchro monster was the target of your attack, all monsters on your side of the field in attack mode will be destroyed!
(A bolt of green-white energy crackles from Yusei's card to intercept Blade Blaster's blue one midair.)
Yusei: *That's* dueling with *force*!
Visor: Not so fast, Yusei! By sending one card to the graveyard, my Blade Blaster survives your trap. Observe!
(The two bolts of energy collide-- and Blade Blaster's wins, striking through to reach Drill Warrior and destroy it. Yusei takes the hit, and is down to 1000 lifepoints.)
Yusei: I play the trap "Miracle's Wake"! With this, I can summon one monster that was destroyed in battle during this turn! So come back-- Drill Warrior!
[Drill Warrior 2600//L6/]
Visor: Most impressive.
(Crow's runner screen finally shows video footage again.)
Crow: The duel feed's back online.
Jack: What on *Earth* is *that* monster?!
Leo: Oh, no-- Yusei's lifepoints are down to eleven-hundred! (sic)
(The Directors-General also have their video feed back.)
Jacob: What happened? This isn't how we left the duel! <18:00>
Primo: It seems we missed something during that white flash.
(Yusei is swiftly gaining on Visor.)
Yusei (think): I was able to keep Drill Warrior out on the field-- but with Blade Blaster having thirty-three-hundred attack points, he'd be *completely outmatched* if they battled! I need to come up with another strategy. Let's *see here*... (he glances down at his hand, a speed spell and a trap.) The cards in my hand are Speed Energy and Shining Silver Force. With Speed Energy, if I have two or more speed counters, a monster on my field could get a big boost in attack points; I get to multiply however many speed counters I have by two hundred, and that's the bonus. I have three counters now, but next turn I'll have *four*-- which would mean I'd be able to increase a monster's attack points by eight hundred!
(Yusei's math scrolls across the bottom of the screen: 4 X 200 = 800, meaning Drill Warrior would then have 3200 attack points, to Blade Blaster's 3300.)
Yusei (think): But that would still only give Drill Warrior thirty-two-hundred attack points, and that's just not enough to beat Visor's Blade Blaster!
Visor: Face it, Yusei; this duel's *over*.
(Yusei places a hand on his deck, ready to draw.)
Yusei (think): It *will* be, if I don't get the right draw-- right here, right now!
ACT 4 <19:00>
Visor: Just accept it; you *can't win this*.
(Yusei places a hand on his deck, ready to draw.)
Yusei (think): As long as there are still cards in my deck, I've *still* got a shot! (aloud) My draw! Huh!
(Yusei's card seems to slice the air as he pulls it. Scoreboard: Yusei, 1100, 4; Visor, 2800, 3. Yusei slowly flips the card-- Gauntlet Warrior!)
Yusei: I activate the "Speed Spell - Speed Energy"! With it, I can increase Drill Warrior's attack points by the number of speed counters I have times two hundred!
(That brings Drill Warrior up to 3200 attack points.)
Yusei: And next I'll summon Gauntlet Warrior!
[Gauntlet Warrior 400/1600/L3/earth]
Yusei: But he won't stay for long, because by releasing him, all warrior-type monsters on my field gain five hundred attack points! I release you, Warrior.
(Yusei places Gauntlet Warrior in his graveyard slot. The hologram turns into a beam of white light and curls around Drill Warrior.)
Yusei: Now Drill Warrior's attack points increase to thirty-seven-hundred!
(Drill Warrior has gained a shield that looks like Gauntlet Warrior's. His points now read 3700.)
Yusei: And that means he's *more* than a match for Tech Genus Blade Blaster! <20:00> So let 'im have it, Drill Warrior! Whirlwind Winder!
Leo: All right!!
Visor: Hold it right there. I play an ability-- it lets me *remove* Blade Blaster from play, once per turn.
Yusei: But *that* means--!!
(T.G. Blade Blaster vanishes; all 3700 points of Yusei's attack crash down on Visor, instead. His lifepoints sink straight to 0.)
Visor: Rrrrggghhh...!
Yusei: Huh?
(The twins gasp)
Crow: Check it! *He* took the hit to save his monster!!
Primo: Ah..?
(The vents on the sides of Visor's runner gush steam; it swings around, spinning out of control, then spins a few more times on its back wheel, coming to a relatively controlled stop. Yusei rides over to Visor, who raises his head and meets his gaze, expression closed. Yusei walks a few steps toward him.)
Yusei: Visor, are you okay?!
Visor: Yes, I'm perfectly fine. That was a good finish.
Yusei: Maybe-- but that didn't have to *be* the finish, Visor, why did you *do* that?! Why did you protect your monster with your lifepoints, it makes no *sense*!
(Visor chuckles.)
Visor: Hmhm! I would explain, but I'm afraid that I can't reveal *all* the secrets of the Accel Synchro, Yusei. <21:00>
Yusei: Whaddayou mean? What don't I know?
Visor: ... The answers will all come in good time. Until then, I'll be looking forward to our next duel.
Yusei: Huh?
(Visor revs his engine and peels out, vanishing into the night, leaving Yusei standing there on the track with a stunned look on his face.)
(The Directors' screen shifts from Yusei, standing there speechless, to a map of New Domino's turbo-duel tracks.)
Lester: Ah...! What kind of a *lame* ending was *that*! What a waste of time!
Jacob: That was no waste. You're simply too blind to see what *really* just happened, Lester. To see that a whole new age of dueling has just begun-- *new*, but *old*. *Ancient*, even.
Primo (think): Something happened inside that light...! Something that I *need to find out*!
(A peaceful night in Domino City, somewhere on a turbo-dueling track near the WRGP Gala, Yusei stands beside his runner, staring down the track, long after his opponent has disappeared. Above and behind him, the full moon is shining.)
Yusei: Accel Synchro...!
(Flashback. <22:00> As Visor continues to speed up, the blue air starts to turn white with the energy of his passing it, obscuring him from view. A green ring blossoms around the track, as though the riders themselves are flying through the rings of a synchro-summoning. The air around Visor is now a vibrant tuner's green, and more rings are appearing. There's a bright, blinding flash--)
Yusei (VO): I found the Synchro Solution--
(End Flashback)
Yusei: But if I'm going to master it, I've gotta push beyond my limits!
