(Previously <2:04>)

(Opening)

ACT 1 <3:04>

Announcer: We're going into round three of this nerve-wracking duel, and Greiger's now in the driver's seat!
(Scoreboard; Greiger, 3400, 2; Yusei, 4000, 2.)
Greiger: It's my turn. Flying Fortress SKY FIRE, take out Yusei's Speed Warrior!
(SKY FIRE shoots at the ground; Speed Warrior dashes into the air, and gets snagged in one of its propellers. Yusei doesn't flinch.)
(Yusei's lifepoints decrease to 1900, and he drops two speed counters, leaving him with 0. With that massive setback, Greiger passes him easily and he goes spinning backward)
Announcer: Yusei has taken a lashing! He's spinning out, he's gonna-- wait, no! He's managed to gain control! But that direct attack has forced Yusei to shift gears, *and* his game-plan! As it looks like the twenty-one-hundred points of damage he took cost him all the speed counters he'd gained so far!

Leo: That's not good...
Yanagi: It'll be hard to catch up!

(3D shot from Yusei's wheel, along the track at a bug's-eye view, under Flying Fortress SKY FIRE, and up to Greiger, who's halfway around the track by now)
Greiger: Hah! You seem like a nice enough guy, Yusei, but you gotta fall! 'Cause I got too much riding on this duel to risk losing it! <4:00>
(He plays a facedown, and play shifts back to Yusei. Scoreboard: Greiger, 3400, 3; Yusei, 1900, 1.)
Yusei (draws): And so do I!
(He drew a trap, Wasteland Tornado.)
Yusei (think): With SKY FIRE on the field, he can destroy the first card I play every turn, so-- (aloud) From my hand, I summon Shield Warrior in defense mode!
[Shield Warrior /1600//]
Greiger: Too bad your Warrior can't 'shield' itself from my assault! Remember-- when you play a card, that card is destroyed, and SKY FIRE rains eight hundred points of damage from above!
(SKY FIRE lets loose three bombs, shelling Yusei and Shield Warrior. Yusei's lifepoints are now 1100, and in 3D he starts spinning out, back along the track)
Announcer: Yusei spins out *again*!
(He regains control and zooms back after Greiger)
Yusei: I place one card facedown and end my turn!
Announcer: Greiger is seriously wiping the track with Yusei! The kid's got no speed counters, no monsters on his field; if Greiger nails him with a direct attack on this next turn, Yusei's Fortune Cup will be over!

Leo: He's done! Greiger's got it to where he can't even summon a monster without the thing getting obliterated right away! <5:00> *Man,* Greiger won't quit! He's just a hulking tower of ruthlessness!!
Luna: You didn't notice that when you were dueling him?
Yanagi: Leo was just too excited to be dueling in the tournament to notice things like his opponent.
Tanner: I wouldn't put this duel in the books just yet. Yusei can win this.
Yanagi: He *can*?
Tanner: You betcha. Now, what do we know about this Flying Fortress SKY FIRE of Greiger's?
Yanagi: Um...
(Pause; nobody knows the answer)
Dex: Well, we know it's big, we know it's loud, we know it's powerful, *and* we know that, once a turn, it destroys a card Yusei plays the second he plays it.
Tanner: And as soon as Greiger destroyed Shield Warrior, Yusei placed a card facedown.
Dex: *I* get it! You're thinking the summoning of Shield Warrior was a diversion!
Tanner: Mmm-hmm.
Dex: His *real* goal was that facedown!
Tanner: I'll bet you a corn dog that card's a game-changer, like "Mirror Force".

Jack (think): Yusei has two facedown cards. Let's see if you're clever enough to figure out his game, Greiger.

Greiger: It's my turn!
(He drew "Chariot Pile". Scoreboard: Greiger 3400, 4 ; Yusei 1100, 2)
Greiger (think): And I'm sure one of his facedowns *could* turn the tables. <6:00> So I'm gonna have to turn 'em first!

ACT 2 <6:03>

Greiger (think): Yusei, you're a very skillful duelist, but so am I! You might think your facedowns are safe, but you'd better think again-- because I've got your strategy all figured out!!
(Slow-motion monochromatic purple as Greiger rounds a bend. Yusei is still on the straight.)
Greiger (think): I know you're fighting to help your friends, but I can't let you stop me from completing my mission, and that's why I'm willing to take the necessary risks to destroy any chances you have of winning this duel. But I know this won't be an easy task to accomplish; so don't expect me to pull any punches!! 'Cause I plan on using every card I have in my deck to make sure that *I'm* the one taking the victory lap! (aloud) Here I come!!
(Greiger twists his right-side accelerator toggle and the huge engines in the back of his runner kick in. He and SKY FIRE come zooming around the track in 3D)
Greiger: Behind you, Yusei!
Yusei (looks over his shoulder): Huh!
(Greiger is nearly lapping Yusei, and is now chasing him.
Greiger: Get ready for a direct assault!
Yusei: That's what I was hoping for!
Greiger: But why?!
Yusei: So I can play-- Wasteland Tornado!
(Officially known as "Wild Tornado".)
Yusei: Now I can use this card to lay waste to one trap card. And the card I'm destroying is-- <7:00> Limiter Break!
(This was his other facedown, officially known as "Limiter Overload")
Greiger: Why are you destroying your own card?!
Yusei: 'Cause this card's destruction gives me the power to summon Speed Warrior from my graveyard! And with a monster in defense mode, I won't take any damage.
(Speed Warrior appears and bravely stands between Yusei and SKY FIRE's barrage of bullets.)
Greiger: You may've just dodged my assault, but I still managed to rid you of one of your facedown cards (sic), and I didn't have to get rid of any of my own cards to do it!
Yusei (think): This guy's not messin' around. He figured out my game plan.

Leo (nervous): *Tanner*, he didn't play "Mirror Force". Where's Dex's corn dog?
Tanner (evasive): Well, we never *shook*.

(Greiger races after Yusei, both runners kicking up sparks from the track.)
Greiger: I place one card facedown and end my turn!
(Scoreboard: Greiger 3400, 5; Yusei 1100, 3)
Yusei: It's my move!
(He drew Turbo Booster, Rally's card. It's almost like Rally is right there in his hand cheering)
Rally vision: Go, Yusei!
Yusei (mutters): Rally...
(Yusei reaches for a second card from his hand, and we see his cards-- he picks up Fortress Warrior, and also has "Synchro Spirits" and "Speed Spell - Zero Rebirth")
Yusei: From my hand, I summon Massive Warrior in attack mode!
(Officially known as Fortress Warrior.)
[Fortress Warrior 600///] <8:00>
Greiger: With another monster summoned, another monster gets leveled! And another eight hundred points of direct damage are coming your way due to my SKY FIRE's special ability!
(SKY FIRE deploys three missiles; Massive Warrior blocks two, and the third goes wide, missing Massive Warrior, arcing into the air, and coming up behind it, destroying it. Yusei hangs on through the explosion; he's down to 300 lifepoints!)
Announcer: Wow!
(As Yusei recovers, Greiger passes him)
Announcer: Greiger has *lapped* Yusei!!
Yusei: I'm playing the "Speed Spell - Zero Reverse"!
Computer: Zero Reverse allows you to re-summon a monster that was destroyed by an effect this turn. However, this monster's attack points become zero.
Yusei: And now I re-summon Massive Warrior!
Greiger: Why would he summon a monster that can't attack?
(Yusei looks at Turbo Booster...)

(Flashback. Rally leaps down the curb onto the track of the abandoned subway tunnel)
FB Rally: Almost forgot! Here! For good luck!
FB Yusei: What is it, Rally?
FB Rally: Turbo Booster! <9:00>
FB Yusei (turns to Rally): Wasn't this your father's card?
FB Rally (nods): Hm. I want *you* to take it. Like my dad always says, you never know when you might need a boost!
(End Flashback)

(Yusei's still looking at the card)
Yusei: Remember, we've got something in common, Greiger. We're both out for our own.
Greiger: Hmph!
Yusei: And if I plan on winning this battle, (shows the card) I'll need my friends to get me to the finish line! This is for you, Rally!
(He remembers Rally's face, and Tank, Blitz, and Nervin as they sit around the computer.)
Yusei: And all the rest of my pals! I summon Turbo Booster in attack mode!
[Turbo Booster 0//L1/earth]
Yusei: Now Massive Warrior, attack Greiger's SKY FIRE!!
Greiger: You're just sending your monster to its doom!
Yusei: Not with Turbo Booster's special ability! You see, by releasing this card, I can take down a monster of yours as long as it's fighting against one of mine!
Greiger: But because of the battle, I'm still able to win this duel!
Yusei: I don't think so! Massive Warrior can make my battle damage become zero! <10:00>
Greiger: Hunh?
Yusei: I release, Turbo Booster!!
(Massive Warrior comes flying down on SKY FIRE as it fires back, propelled by Turbo Booster's rocket boots. They vanish, and Massive Warrior dives and punches a hole right through SKY FIRE. It lands and cowers below as SKY FIRE begins to catch fire and fall apart.)
Announcer: Whoa! Talk about a comeback! Yusei has blasted Greiger's SKY FIRE outta the sky!
Greiger: Huah?!
(Indeed, as Greiger watches, SKY FIRE crashes on the track, sending up a big cloud of thick smoke. Even worse, all the bombs in SKY FIRE's huge arsenal blow up, and Greiger's driving right into them!)
Greiger: Aaaaagh!

ACT 3 <10:25>

Greiger: Yaaah!
(He drives right into the huge cloud of smoke)
Announcer: Incredible!! Yusei has destroyed Greiger's SKY FIRE! Oh, the humanity!
Greiger: You may've grounded my air assault, but let's see how you handle my "Chariot Pile" trap card!
(Spinning sharp spikes appear on the axles of Greiger's two back wheels)

Yanagi, Dex, and the twins: Oh, no!

Greiger: You won't defeat me, Yusei; (intense) there's too much at stake here!

(Flashback. A tall building somewhere in New Domino. A random peon appears on a monitor)
- Director Goodwin, the next match is about to begin, and we didn't wanna start without you.
FB Greiger: Turn this signal off!!
- Hey, wait a second; you're not the Director! Who is this?! <11:00> That office is off-limits!
FB Greiger (think): And so is my village. Now, let's see what you're hiding, Goodwin...
(He's looking at a folder on the computer screen with an image of the Crimson Dragon on the front.)
FB Greiger (think): I knew it! It's all right here in your personal files; you were responsible for the destruction of my village!!
(He lets out a huge roar and pounds both fists on the table once, tears flowing down his cheeks)
FB Greiger: I'll get you, Goodwin!!!
(End Flashback)

Greiger: I respect you as a duelist, Yusei, but I have something I must do. And you're just a roadblock standing in my way!
(Draw; Scoreboard: Greiger 3400, 6; Yusei 300, 4)
Greiger: Chariot Pile's effect activates! So once a turn, my Chariot can hit you for eight hundred points of damage! Looks like your lifepoints are about to get *speared*, Yusei! There's no way you can outrun my attack!
Yusei: Maybe, but I can certainly out-maneuver it by sacrificing-- my Massive Warrior!
Greiger (smile): Hmph. You can try to defend yourself all you want, but you're only delaying your own defeat!
(Scoreboard: Greiger 3400, 7; Yusei 300, 5)
(Yusei chases Greiger around yet another curve, gaining with every inch)
Yusei: It's my move!
(He drew Junk Synchron)
Yusei (think): And if I don't pull this combo off, I'm done-for. <12:00> (aloud) I summon to the field Junk Synchron!
[Junk Synchron 1300///]
Yusei: And because I successfully summoned it out, I can also summon a monster out directly from my graveyard! So I re-summon-- Speed Warrior! And because Speed Warrior's here on the field, I can now give 'im a little tune-up!
(Speed Warrior leaps into the air; Junk Synchron follows, transforming into a handful of glimmering stars.)
Greiger: That won't help you, Yusei!
(The stars align, forming into bright green rings. Speed Warrior floats through the rings, turning into glowing outlines. Its two stars align...)
Yusei: Junk Warrior, let's rev it up!
[Junk Warrior 2300///]
Yusei: Send his lifepoints to the junk pile! Go, Scrap Fist!
Greiger: Not good enough, Yusei! I'm afraid that Chariot Pile has another effect! When your monster attacks me directly, I can sacrifice eight hundred lifepoints, to deflect your monster's attack, <13:00> *and* destroy your monster!
(A shimmering multicolored bubble appears around Greiger and his runner, and Junk Warrior bounces off it and disentigrates. Greiger has 2600 lifepoints left.)

Dex: Ahh!
Leo: Man, Yusei just can't seem to keep a monster on the field.

Yusei: I place one card facedown and end my turn!
(Scoreboard: Greiger 2600, 8; Yusei 300,6)
Greiger: It's my move! And I summon Black Salvo!
(Black Salvo is a happily diabolical round black bomb with a lit fuse)
[Black Salvo 100///]
Computer: When you summon the tuner monster Black Salvo, you can also summon one level-four dark-attribute monster from your graveyard in defense mode.
(Black Salvo opens its mouth and spits out four mini-bombs. They explode one by one, and leave a billow of smoke)
Greiger: So, with the power of my Black Salvo, I'm bringing back my Trap Reactor•Y FI.
(Y FI flies out of the smoke)
[Trap Reactor•Y FI /1800//]
Greiger: And now I tune by Black Salvo with my level-four Trap Reactor•Y FI.
(Black Salvo dissolves into a small cloud of stars.)
Yusei: A synchro-summon?!
Grieger: You're surprised? You're not the *only* duelist who uses synchro monsters! I give you-- Dark Strike Fighter!!
[Dark Strike Fighter 2600///] <14:00>
Greiger: And now it's going to attack you directly!
Yusei: Not if I activate my trap card-- "Synchro Spirits"! By removing a synchro monster in my graveyard from play, I can re-summon the monsters that were originally needed to summon it, so I'm taking Junk Warrior out of the duel! Now Junk Synchron and Speed Warrior can return to the field!
(Both in defense mode; Junk Synchron floats forward and takes the attack-- and isn't destroyed.)
Greiger: What's this? How did he survive that attack?
Yusei: By taking Shield Warrior from my graveyard and removing it from play, I can negate all battle damage!
Greiger: Then I think I'll activate Chariot Pile's effect. The only way for you to negate *this* damage is to sacrifice your *other monster*!
Yusei: Well then that's *exactly* what I'm gonna do!
(Speed Warrior throws itself on the sharp spikes and is destroyed)
Greiger: You've got an answer to everything I throw your way, *don't* you! Well let's see what you do about the <15:00> "Ultimate Flare" trap card, which allows me to summon an Ultimate Flare Token!
[Ultimate Flare Token /0/L10/]

Leo: Anyone know what *that* does?
Tanner: Well let's just say that Yusei's about to get knocked around for another eight hundred points of damage.
Dex: And on top of that, Greiger's Fighter can now deal damage equal to two hundred *times* the level of the released monster, *and*--
Tanner: *And,* Ultimate Flare Token is a level ten!
Leo: (counts on his fingers) That means uh, well uh...
Luna: Ten times two hundred comes out to two thousand points of damage!
Yanagi and Leo: *Two thousand*?!

Greiger: I'm afraid your fate has been sealed, Yusei! There is nothing that you can do to win this turbo-duel now! On my next turn you're finished!!
(Scoreboard: Greiger 2600,9 ; Yusei 300,7)

Announcer: Things are looking helpless for Yusei! He's holding no cards in his hand! One monster on the field! Everything depends on his next draw!

(In 3D, Greiger comes around a curve and right over the camera; Yusei and Junk Synchron are not far behind.)
Yusei: Let's do this!!
(He drew Tuning Supporter)
Yusei: This should get me where I wanna go. I summon Tuning Supporter in attack mode!
[Tuning Supporter 100//L1/] <16:00>
(This monster is officially known as Tuningware.)
Yusei: Next, I tune my Junk Synchron to my Tuning Supporter!
(Junk Synchron again flies into the sky, its three rings spinning down to align with cute little Tuning Supporter and its one star.)
Yusei: I synchro-summon-- Armory Arm!
[Armory Arm 1800///]
Greiger: You're grasping at straws, Yusei! That monster can't defeat my Dark Strike Fighter!
Yusei: Maybe not, but when Tuning Supporter is used to synchro-summon-- it enables me to draw another card straight to my hand!

Announcer: Yusei has managed to squeeze some more life out of his floundering deck!

Twins: Go Yusei!
Tanner: Make this work!
Yanagi: You can do it!

Yusei (think): It all comes down to this... (draw; arc slice) If I don't draw the card I need, I'm *finished*.

ACT 4 <16:36>

Yusei (think): Here I go... (draw, arc slice) Now if I don't draw the card I need, Greiger's gonna run over the rest of my lifepoints!
(He slowly turns it over; it's a speed spell. Yusei smiles, just barely)

Leo: Was... that a smile? Did I see a smile?

Yusei: I activate, the Synchro Return speed spell card! <17:00>
("Speed Spell - Synchro Return")
Yusei: And as long as I have five or more speed counters, I can use this spell to summon a synchro monster that I removed from play earlier in the duel! So say hello again to my Junk Warrior!!
[Junk Warrior 2300///]
Yusei: Next I activate Armory Arm's special ability!
Greiger: What?!
Yusei: Now my Junk Warrior gains a thousand more attack points!
(Junk Warrior puts on the Armory Arm; it now has 3300 atk)
Yusei: And with that boost, my Junk Warrior's more powerful than your Dark Strike Fighter! So you know what's next! Junk Warrior, attack!!
(Junk Warrior soars down on Dark Strike Fighter, which fires every missile it's got at Junk Warrior but can't stop it. It's about to try a last-ditch punch, when it finds itself confronted instead with a huge golden clawed hand, which squeezes it down to the size of a tin can and destroys it. Greiger endures the wind and is down to 1900 lifepoints.)
Yusei: And next I activate Armory Arm's special ability! And that means that this duel is over! <18:00> You said that one of us was going to have to lose today; and it looks like that *someone* is you!
Greiger: Impossible!! ...Aaa-aaagh!
(Armory Arm grips Greiger and his runner, and the air around Greiger explodes; he's riding through a blinding world of bright golden light. His lifepoints go to zero. The sides of his runner burst open, expelling steam, and he careens to the side and spins out as Yusei rides past, halfway on the side of the track, halfway on the ground. As it comes to a stop, he's thrown off of it.)

Yanagi, Dex, and the twins: He did it!
Tanner: Yeah!
Leo: I knew he could pull it off!
Yanagi: That was an amazing win!
Dex: Hey, uh... if the duel's over, how come those spiky things haven't vanished yet?

(As Dexter pointed out, the Chariot Piles are still there.)

(Up in the tower)
Lezar: Well *that's* too bad.
Goodwin: Yusei will wake up to his abilities as a Signer soon enough. We must be patient.
Jack (think): It's a good thing you lost, Greiger! Now all Yusei has to do is win one more duel, and then he and I can settle things once and for all!
(Jack gets up and walks out)

Announcer: That's it, people! After six rounds of white-knuckle action, <19:00> this duel has roared to a close with a stunning finale! Satellite Shooting Star managed to whip out a come-from-behind win! Take a victory lap, Yusei!
(Yusei comes to a stop near Greiger, and looks up, surprised by the request; he doesn't move)
Yusei: Greiger! Are you okay?
Announcer: Come on, Yusei, give us a--
(Greiger stands up; his voice echoes with the strength of a microphone behind it)
Greiger: Yusei. I'm fine. But it's not over.

(Up in the tower, Jack, who was about to leave, stops and turns back to the window)
Lezar: What's going on? Turn his mic off!

Announcer: Uh... (taps his mic; it's dead) Olly-olly-oxen! Hello, is this thing even on?
(Taps it again; he's quite dismayed that his mic is gone)
Announcer: Testing, one two three!

Greiger: I was hoping to do this differently, but if it needs to be like this, so be it.
Yusei: Mm?

Leo: What's he talkin' about?

Greiger: I told you about my village, Yusei. I told you about the fire and the destruction. But I've learned the truth. Goodwin isn't going to help me rebuild my village like he promised!! How could he, when it isn't even *there* anymore!
Yusei: What do you mean?!
Greiger: LOOK!
(Greiger points with a huge motion to the Sphere; we can't see what's displayed on it.)
Greiger: That was my village!!
(Now we see the Sphere; small stone or brick huts and hovels dot the valley)
Greiger: Before Goodwin came along.

Lezar: How's he doing that?! Someone turn off the Sphere!!
Goodwin: Let him have his moment. <20:00>
Lezar: Huh?

Greiger: I hacked into Goodwin's personal files before the duel, and discovered it wasn't a *natural disaster*!
(We survey the landscape of the display on the Sphere)
Greiger: Goodwin came along and decided to use our valley as a little testing ground. He tried to resurrect his precious Crimson Dragon; but he couldn't control the energy! It was too powerful! And then--
(Huge flash of white light; stones rise into the air as they break apart.

Lezar: He's going to expose *everything*! We must silence him!! (Goodwin is still calm) Uh... Aren't you concerned?
Goodwin: Don't worry. No one's going to believe him.
(Jack is watching this drama play out, mouth agape)

(We go back to the image on the Sphere; the explosion turned the whole place into a massive hole in the ground; not even rubble is left)
Greiger (VO): The village is gone! Everyone who lived there, *all gone*!! Vanished, nowhere to be found!!
Yusei: Greiger, are you sure about all this?
Greiger: I saw the files myself, I'm certain about it, Yusei! And now Goodwin's going to answer for all his lies!!!
(Greiger climbs back on his runner, and takes off, arcing around Yusei)
Yusei: Greiger!!
Greiger: Now that the world knows what you did, it's time for you to pay!! For my friends, my family, my home!!
(Vision; the village as Greiger remembers it, including the two kids who waved goodbye to him) <21:00>
Greiger: Your ivory tower is about to come crumbling down, Goodwin!!!!

(Goodwin stands at the window, unafraid; Lezar, beside him, is shocked; Jack stands in the background)

(Greiger swerves up onto the bowl of the track, going faster and faster)
Greiger: Yaaaaaaaah!
(He rounds a curve and rides off the top of the bowl into the air; he's launched himself and his runner directly at the tower!!)

(Yusei's also been in motion, heading the opposite direction)
Yusei: No!!
(He launches himself the same way, on a course to intercept Greiger.)
Greiger: Yusei!
(The two runners crunch together-- Yusei hit one of Greiger's wheels, intercepting without colliding head-on-- and one of the chariot piles breaks off under Yusei's wheel and goes flying, spinning as it whizzes toward the tower window.)

(Goodwin turns, sensing danger; the chariot pile crashes through the window, shattering the plate glass; Lezar yells; Goodwin catches the fatally-spinning shrapnel by the drill-like point in his elegantly-gloved left hand, and holds it as it spins against his hand, in an impossible feat of strength. Shards of glass are falling through the air in a dangerous shower of sparkles. Lezar throws himself back, away from the deadly object and Goodwin, and lands sitting on the floor. Jack looks on, awed and suspicious, as Goodwin holds it there, and the look on Lezar's face is so horrified it's distorted.)
Jack: How're you *doing* that?
(As Jack watches, the friction of the spinning point rips Goodwin's glove apart, revealing a dark gray metal hand underneath. The point stops spinning, and Goodwin is still holding it.)

(Greiger and Yusei land on the track and brake. We see an explosion come from Greiger's runner, but Greiger is already running over to Yusei, grabbing him by the front of his jacket and sitting him up from where he'd slumped after that landing)
Greiger: Yusei! How *could* you! I had him!
Yusei: I'm sorry. I'm sorry that Goodwin lied and used you. But listen; going after him won't solve anything, or get you your answers!
Greiger (helpless fury): What do I do?!
Yusei: You trust me to figure things out. <22:00>
(Greiger lets Yusei go, sits back on his knees, and roars his lungs out)
Greiger: GOODWIN!!!!

(Up in the tower, Goodwin doesn't seem to hear; at the end of his left arm, in one metallic hand with a few tatters of glove still clinging to it, he holds the huge metal spike that would have killed anyone else. He lets it drop, and it hits the ground with a soft clang, and lies there, glistening.)
