I'm proud to announce that this fall I will in fact be transferring to the University of California, Santa Barbara, as a junior, majoring in Classics.
My K-12 education was diverse, to say the least. I consider it a solid foundation for openmindedness and well-rounded, applicable knowledge, for I had to keep learning and building on the same things, reconciling many different sources. I attended both public and private schools, and overall I feel that public schools offer more opportunity for finding friends and community, but that my background of many different kinds of schools gave me an unbeatable edge. These are the schools I attended, in order.
Kindergarten and First Grade: New Gate Montessori School in Sarasota, FL
Second and Third Grade: Capitola Elementary in Capitola, CA
Fourth and Fifth Grade: Spring Hill Elementary in Santa Cruz, CA
Sixth grade: skipped
Seventh Grade: Santa Cruz Montessori School in Aptos, CA
Eighth Grade: New Brighton Middle School in Capitola, CA
High School: Soquel High School in Soquel, CA
Junior College: Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA
